Exercise Setup

In all of the exercises below the Blue Boules are Home team. The Red Boules are opposition Boules. The Coche is yellow. The arrow indicates where the boules are arriving from i.e. where the Circle is.

You are the last person to throw, you have three blue home team boules to recover the situation and score as many points for your team as possible.

This includes making a decision to stop throwing if thats the best option at any point

With all of these exercises, start at say six or seven meters and then move up to longer distances.

These exercises are not shooting - but pointing with an extra dimension as you are trying to hit something while pointing.

Cannon on a Boule

Cannon on a Boule

The objective here is to hit the red Boule just in front of the Blue team ball just hard enough to get the Blue Boule moved back into an "on" position.

This is an exercise about how much of a clout you need to give the Boule to get the Cannoned ball to roll on just the right distance (assuming you can hit it). Start at Six Meters and work up one meter at a time

Promote a Boule

Promote a Boule

Similar to above, The Blue team boules are not currently on but would be if you hit them hard enough.

Don't hit the Blue boules too hard or they will disappear into the distant but not so softly that they are still not on.

Roll Into Opposition Boules

Roll Into Opposition Boules

Having a little "Nest" of opposition boules makes it a lot easier to stop your Boule at the right distance.

Take care not to go in too hard and and go flying off into the distance.

Play off a Boule

Play off a Boule

This is a lot more difficult as you need to hit the Boule on the RHS on its inside edge!

If the boules on the RHS go flying off into the distance you will have to replace the gone ball with you second Boule and try again.

If this exercise proves too diffilcult then replace the Red Boule on the RHS with a Blue Team Boule, then you just have to hit it and hope.

Jundging the strenght of the Impact is part of this exercise.

How many to go for

This exercise starts at two point down and is about deciding when to stop being greedy (if you manage to get to being ON).
